Our Programs

All C-HOPE programs are component parts of our STRIVE for Social Inclusion initiative. Our programs are varied, but all include elements of socialization and recreation, wellness, and adaptive and social skill development.

Afternoon Club

Develop skills while building relationships!

Spring Program – Runs on Mondays beginning on February 6th (specific dates and times will be posted once finalized). Participants may join mid-semester.

Registration is OPEN for the Spring 2023 Program. 

The Afternoon Club is a social program that offers a little bit of everything: social skills workshops, functional math activities, team building, opportunities to develop adaptive skills, vocational skills training, and wellness activities. The Afternoon Club is C-HOPE’s flagship program.

This program provides participant-volunteer support so we can meet the needs of participants with a wide range of abilities. C-HOPE proudly partners with local colleges and universities to recruit student volunteers studying healthcare professions.

Communication Club Advocating Respect For Everybody

Runs on Wednesdays from February 15th – June 21st (No sessions on March 29th & May 10th, any other no session dates will be announced at a later time)

SUNY Buffalo State College – Caudell Hall (Room TBD)

The program focuses on communication skills including expression and language development, as well as promoting life skills, mindfulness, and providing a robust college experience

Get Healthy

Staying Fit While Having Fun!​

$70 / session attended + $85 registration fee (includes application fee & Fitbit device, only applies to first session)

Open to all abilities 

Registration is CLOSED. 

This program includes monthly meetings to discuss and participate in exercise programming to stay healthy and active. We’ll talk about ways to engage in exercise at home and in the community. Harrison Phillips, formerly of the Buffalo Bills and now playing for the Minnesota Vikings, will be providing motivational videos and checking in on Fitbit data to see how members of the group are doing. Harrison will encourage and inspire us to work towards our goals. This program is open to people of all abilities.

Networks

Using today’s technology to communicate!

Registration is CLOSED. 

Networks introduces participants to new ideas and technology in a hands-on, dynamic environment. Participants create their own website, choosing the topic, content, and graphics. Accompanying the website building is instruction on cybersafety and social media savvy.

This program provides 1:1 participant-volunteer support so we can meet the needs of participants with a wide range of abilities. C-HOPE proudly partners with local colleges and universities to recruit student volunteers studying healthcare professions.
